The Boston Bruins aren't ruling out a goalie change for Game 7 of their Eastern Conference first-round playoff series against the Florida Panthers.

In fact, Boston coach Jim Montgomery thought about pulling starter Linus Ullmark during Game 6 on Friday night, a 7-5 loss for the Bruins in which Ullmark gave up six goals on 32 shots. Now the Bruins face elimination when they clash with Florida for a final time Sunday -- and every player is under review.

The Golden Knights closed out the series following the same formula they used after losing Game 1: They grounded the Jets on the tarmac.

Chandler Stephenson scored his first of two goals to give the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead. Captain Mark Stone doubled the lead, followed by a goal from William Karlsson before Stephenson grabbed his second to push it to 4-0 to end the second. 

As for Winnipeg, Jets coach Rick Bowness, who is in his first season with the club, blasted the team after the game. Asked for his thoughts, Bowness said he was "disgusted and disappointed."

He was asked for the source of his frustrations.

"No pushback. But it's the same crap that we saw in February," Bowness said, referencing when the Jets went from having one of the best records in the West to losing six games and putting their postseason aspirations in jeopardy. "As soon as we were challenging for first place and teams were coming after us, we had no pushback. This series, we had no pushback. Their better players were so much better than ours, it's not even close."

The NHL is sending four teams to Sweden next season, with the Minnesota Wild, Detroit Red Wings, Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators taking part in Global Series games there in November.

The league on Wednesday announced its second and final venture outside North America in 2023: a game each day in Stockholm Nov. 16-19. The Los Angeles Kings and Arizona Coyotes are set to play two exhibition games in Melbourne, Australia, in September.

The Calgary Flames will get a new arena to replace the aging Saddledome under a deal between the team's ownership and city and provincial governments.

Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corp. -- which owns the Saddledome and the Flames -- announced the deal on Tuesday, as did the city of Calgary and the Alberta government.

The price tag for the arena was estimated at $800 million Canadian ($587 million U.S.), with the entire project estimated to cost $1.2 billion ($880 million U.S.). 

Florida Panthers winger Matthew Tkachuk was fined the maximum $5,000 on Monday for his cross-check of the Boston Bruins' Garnet Hathaway during Sunday's game.

Tkachuk delivered the shot to Hathaway at the end of the first period and was given a two-minute minor penalty to start the second period. The Bruins scored on that power play en route to a 6-2 victory to take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference series.

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Sam Lafferty was fined $3,108.11 by the NHL Department of Player Safety on Sunday for cross-checking Ross Colton of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The fine was the maximum allowed under the league's collective bargaining agreement.

A series of fights between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Toronto Maple Leafs broke out in the third period of Saturday night's Game 3. And the penalty sheet, after order was restored, resembled an NHL All-Star roster.

Lightning captain Steven Stamkos and Toronto star Auston Matthews, two players with multiple NHL awards and honors and a 60-goal season on each of their resumes, fought during the sequence, which delayed a critical game that Tampa Bay was leading, 3-2, at the time.

The Maple Leafs tied it at the end of regulation, and won, 4-3, in overtime to take a 2-1 lead in the Eastern Conference First Round series.

Two games in, the New York Rangers have absolutely dominated the Battle of the Hudson.

The Rangers took a 2-0 series lead against the New Jersey Devils with a 5-1 win in Game 2 on Thursday night, having now outscored their rivals 10-2 in their Eastern Conference first-round matchup.

"Of course there's frustration. We just got whacked for the second straight game, you know?" Devils star Jack Hughes said. "We're not playing to our standard, and it's biting us in the ass right now."

Alexandre Texier is set to return to the Columbus Blue Jackets next NHL season after spending 2022-23 playing closer to home in Europe for personal reasons.

The Blue Jackets announced Wednesday that Texier would rejoin them after playing this past year in Zurich in the Swiss National League with their permission. 

The Ottawa Senators are not bringing back goaltender Cam Talbot next season.

General manager Pierre Dorion told reporters Monday that the team will not re-sign the pending free agent.

Talbot went 17-14-2 with a 2.93 goals-against average and .898 save percentage this season.
